Who publishes Gema

Gema - Group Voice Room is a live group voice application published by Projuktir Pothe.

Projuktir Pothe is the team that builds and runs Gema. This policy explains which information the team collects, why that information is used, who else may receive it, and what you can do about it. It covers the app, the website that carries these policies, live rooms, and anything a person sends through Gema.

The app, the website, live rooms, and the material people exchange through them are the service this policy describes. Using any part of that service means you have read this policy and understand how your personal information will be collected, used, and handled. If you do not agree with any part of it, do not use the service.

Questions about the use of your information can be sent to mahabub5136@gmail.com.

People aged 18 and older

Gema is for adults who are at least 18, or who have reached the age of majority where they live. The team does not knowingly collect, ask for, or handle personal information from anyone younger than 18.

If you are under 18, do not open an account and do not use the service. If the team learns that it holds personal information about a person under 18, it will delete that information without delay and close the account. If you think the team might hold information from or about a person under 18, write immediately to mahabub5136@gmail.com.

Details you give us

When you register and when you use Gema, you give the team the details you enter. Those details can include your name, date of birth, gender, email address when you register with an email and a password, phone number when you register with a phone number, Google account information when you use Google Sign-In, a profile photo, a language preference, and other account details.

The same category includes the public profile you choose to show, comments, messages, virtual items, and other material you choose to upload or share.

Live voice

Gema is a live voice room. When you join a room or a voice conversation, the app uses the microphone and handles the live audio so the other people there can hear you.

That audio is used to carry the conversation, to keep rooms safe, and to look into a report. Gema does not record a live conversation, and it does not keep a lasting copy, unless a safety review, a legal duty, or a feature you turned on requires that copy.

Signing in with Google

If you sign in with a supported outside service, including Google Sign-In, Gema may receive the limited account details that service is allowed to share. Those details can include an account identifier, an email address, a display name, and a profile photo, depending on what you authorize.

Gema does not receive or store the password for that service. The sign-in provider shares only authentication data, or account details you have allowed it to share, through its own secure sign-in.

Information gathered while you use Gema

While the app is open, the team may automatically receive:

Gema does not collect a complete list of the applications installed on your device.

The team may also receive performance information, including crash logs, diagnostic information, and technical data about whether the service is stable. That information is used to find faults, improve how the app performs, keep the service reliable, and make it easier to use.

The team also records how you use Gema, including comments and other material you create or upload. Account details such as a phone number or an identifier from registration are used to recognize the same account on another device and to keep the service consistent. From the way you take part, the team may derive participation signals, including likes, comments, and repeat views, and may note related accounts. Preferences for joining rooms and for communicating are collected as well.

The team watches service performance, activity trends, and stability, so it can repair faults, keep the service secure, and improve the product.

Where you are

If you allow it, Gema may receive location from your device. Location is used for features that depend on place, and to estimate your city or region. Only the location needed for those features is collected and sent.

Messages

If you use messaging, Gema processes what you write, send, or receive, including the content and the facts around it: when a message was sent, received, or read, and who took part. The team may review messages for safety, moderation, and protection of the service.

A message you send to another person can be read by that person. The team is not responsible for what that person later does with the message.

Uploads and the data attached to them

When you upload material, descriptive data comes with it on its own. That data is information about the material rather than the material itself, and it can show things a viewer does not always see. It can describe how, when, and by whom a piece of material was created, and how that material is formatted. It also includes an account name or a user ID, and other details that let another person trace the material back to the account. Tags you add to the material, and keywords in a comment, are included as well.

The team may also receive information from companies that support Gema, including companies that handle sign-in, payments, cloud hosting, or technical operations.

Gold coins and other virtual items

If you buy gold coins or another virtual item, the payment is handled by the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store, or another authorized official payment gateway. Gema does not collect, process, or store your card number or other sensitive payment details. The team keeps transaction details only, such as a transaction identifier, the time, the amount, and the items, so the purchase can be credited and shown in your history.

Cookies

The website that hosts these policies, and pages embedded in the app, may use cookies or similar tools to keep a session, support a function, and make the pages easier to use. You can manage cookies in your browser or device settings.

Services that carry voice, sign-in, and purchases

Live voice, sign-in, and purchases rely on outside services. Gema uses Tencent Real-Time Communication (TRTC / LiteAV) for voice rooms, and Google Play services for Google Sign-In and in-app purchases. Push notifications are sent through the team's own servers. These services may handle device, audio, or operational data only for the job they are there to do.

Permissions the app asks for

Gema asks for a device permission only so that a specific feature can work.

Why the information is used

The team uses the information it collects to:

Who else may receive it

The team may share information with:

The team may also process or share information for its own operation, maintenance, improvement, and security.

Where the law requires it, or where it is reasonably necessary, information may be shared with law enforcement, public authorities, or other organizations in order to:

What you can change

If you have registered, you can sign in and update personal information the app lets you edit, using the features available on the account.

If you do not want to share GPS location, you can turn location off on your device.

Closing an account

You can ask for access to your personal information, an update of it, or its deletion.

You can delete the account and the data tied to it in the app by going to Settings → Delete Account.

You can also send a deletion request through https://www.gemmmm.com/delete-account, or by email to mahabub5136@gmail.com.

After a deletion request is submitted, there is a 30-day cooling-off period. Signing in again during those 30 days restores the account. After 30 days the account cannot be restored. Profile information, material you added, and history tied to the account are removed or anonymized, except records the law requires the team to keep.

Safeguards

The team takes steps so that information is handled in line with this policy. Sending information over the internet is not completely secure. The team uses measures such as encryption and still cannot guarantee that every transmission is safe.

Technical and organizational measures are kept at a level that fits the risk to your rights and freedoms, and to those of other people. The team maintains those measures and may change them to improve security.

If you sign in through a service such as Google Sign-In, Gema does not receive or store that password. The other service shares only what you authorize, through its secure sign-in. If you register with a phone number, you are the only person who can see that phone number in Gema.

Material you post in a public area of Gema may be visible to anyone, unless you choose a friends setting or a private setting where the app offers that choice.

How long information is kept

The team decides how long to keep information by looking at:

After you stop using Gema, information may remain in an aggregated and anonymized form. The team may still keep personal information that is reasonably needed to meet a legal duty, resolve a dispute, or enforce an agreement.

Updates to this policy

Important changes are usually announced with a notice in the app. You should still read this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top is the date of the current version. If you keep using Gema after that date, you accept the updated policy.

Where information is stored

Information you provide through Gema is stored on secure cloud servers. The team takes appropriate steps to protect it while it is stored there.
